Wyoming County Defender Based Advocacy Program
Who We Are
This program’s purpose is to reduce the use and the length of incarceration. This project provides information, referral services and pretrial release plans at required court hearings. In addition, DAT prepares alternative sentencing proposals that will outline non-incarcerative dispositions and include detailed narratives regarding the defendant’s social history, current circumstance and criminal involvement. The target population of this program are males ages 18-25 who are in need of counseling services and educational and training programs.
