Who We Are

The Widener Law School Veteran’s Clinic offer free legal representation to veterans with meritorious VA claims that have been denied by a regional VA office.  The Clinic also engages in community outreach, providing wills and other estate documents to veterans, sharing best practices with law clinics around the country, and recruiting and training local attorneys who are willing to take on pro bono veterans’ cases.

If you live in Delaware or Pennsylvania, and your Regional Office has denied your claim, and you do not know where to turn, call the Veterans Law Clinic Program at 302-477-2090 or explore other ways to contact the clinic. The clinic will take initial information and explain the rest of their process to you at that time.

Eligibility Restrictions

The Veterans Law Clinic (VLC) does not compete with your National Veterans Service Officer who may have helped you with your original claim. The VLC helps you after the VSO is unable to take your case any further. So, the VLC plugs a gap in veterans’ assistance by handling appeals to the BVA.
