Who We Are
This Center operates 1-800-VICTIMS, a toll-free number that victims can call to receive free legal information and referrals. The toll-free number has become a core service for California victims, victim service providers, attorneys and non-attorney victim advocates and others seeking information about victims’ rights and services. Law students under the supervision on attorneys assist victims of all crime in navigating the criminal and juvenile systems; they provide information on Marsy’s Law (California Constitution’s Victim Bill of Rights), victim compensation, victim/witness assistance centers, and an array of statewide crime victim services. The Center provides free legal representation to victims in Sacramento County.
