Who We Are

The Unemployment Action Center, Inc. (UAC) is a non-profit, student-run organization devoted to the representation of unemployment insurance claimants in New York City and Long Island. Students provide free legal services to individuals seeking unemployment benefits. Student advocates represent claimants in front of Administrative Law Judges in Department of Labor hearings.

Information
The case coordinator will ask you a few questions about your case, and your case description will be sent to a list of student advocates that includes law students from Brooklyn Law School, Cardozo, Columbia, Fordham, Hofstra, New York Law School, and NYU.
