Description
When parents share children, disagreements are inevitable. If those disagreements affect a parent’s legal rights and duties, they may need help finding peaceful solutions or learning how to navigate the courts for successful resolution. Parents in conflict can call the Texas Attorney General’s Access and Visitation Hotline, where they will receive basic legal information about establishing a parenting order and understanding their legal rights and responsibilities, and court-ordered parenting schedules, too. Callers who need legal advice will be referred to attorneys for more extensive services.
How to Get Help
Call the Access and Visitation Hotline, 866-292-4636 (toll-free), Monday through Friday, 1 – 5 p.m. The Hotline has a corresponding website, www.txaccess.org, where parents can download sample materials and tools for assistance with child access issues.
