Who We Are
SVLAS provides free legal services in civil cases to the low-income residents of southwestern Virginia. SVLAS has three offices located throughout the region but accepts applications only through our centralized intake unit. The toll-free number for the intake unit is 1-888-201-2772. The intake unit accepts applications from Monday through Friday. Online applications may also be filed on our website: http://www.svlas.org.

- Up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines in some circumstances – we can deduct some work and health related expenses from income to determine financial eligibility. In addition, we will consider your assets in determining eligibility.
- Your family’s income should be at or below the following percentage of the federal poverty level

- We do not accept traffic tickets or criminal cases. We can not provide representation to a person who is incarcerated.
