Who We Are
If you are incarcerated after your arrest, an intake investigator from the Office of Defense Services will interview you and an attorney from the Public Defender’s Office (PDO) or the Office of Conflicts Counsel (OCC) will be appointed to represent you.
If you are released after your arrest, you should go to the Office of Defense Services immediately after your release during normal business hours. Our office locations are listed below.

- A Spanish interpreter is available at our office every Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
If you need the assistance of a Spanish interpreter to complete an intake interview for our services, please come to our office during these hours.

- Eligibility Restrictions
- In order for an adult to qualify for legal services, the individual must be charged with a crime in which incarceration may be imposed as a penalty and found to be indigent. An interview with an intake investigator will be required to determine eligibility.
If you are found eligible, an attorney from the PDO or OCC will be appointed to represent you. All minors are automatically eligible for representation and will be appointed an attorney from the PDO or OCC after completing an intake interview.
