Who We Are

Public Counsel’s Transition Age Foster Youth unit provides legal representation and consultations, sometimes in conjunction with social work services, to help transition age foster and probation youth (14-24) remove legal barriers to accessing education, housing and other benefits necessary for their successful transition to self-sufficient adulthood.

The Transition Age Foster Youth team provides legal and social work services on a variety of legal issues, including, but not limited to, education law issues, traffic tickets and warrants, family law, consumer law, government benefits, for-profit colleges, civil names changes, and more.
