Who We Are
NMIC is a community based not-for-profit organization that provides social services to residents of Washington Heights, Inwood and the surrounding communities. The Legal Services Department provides free civil legal services in the areas of eviction prevention, immigration, domestic violence and consumer issues. NMIC also maintains a Bronx office that provides eviction prevention and immigration services to residents living in the Bronx, and a Civil Court office that provides emergency housing legal services to all Manhattan residents. Individuals interested in receiving free legal services are encouraged to contact NMIC for walk-in hours or for additional information.
NMIC es una organización sin fines de lucro basada en el servicio a la comunidad que provee servicios legales a los residentes de Washington Heights, Inwood, y a las comunidades cercanas. El Departamento de Servicios Legales provee servicios sin tarifas en asuntos relacionados al desalojo de vivienda, inmigración, violencia doméstica, e asuntos del consumidor.
