Who We Are

The West Point office serves Attala, Carroll, Clay, Choctaw, Lowndes, Montgomery, Noxubee, Oktibbeha, Webster and Winston counties. It is staffed with lawyers, paralegals and other support staff who are available to address problems which may occur in its particular service area or to make appropriate referrals. All applicants must meet the financial eligibility guidelines provided by NMRLS. We handle only civil cases. We do not accept criminal cases or fee-generating cases.

Area(s): Attala County, Carroll County, Choctaw County, Clay County, Lowndes County, Montgomery County, Noxubee County, Oktibbeha County, Webster County, Winston County
Income Guidelines
Asset limitation, citizenship determination or eligibility under another funding source i.e. COA(60+), Housing Counseling, IRS, Domestic Violence, or HUD.

Clients 60 or above do not have to meet income eligibility guidelines.

No fees are charged for services provided by the program. Clients are asked to pay for the costs of their case such as court filing fees, witness fees and other expenses incurred in the case.

Your family’s income should be at or below the following percentage of the federal poverty level

Emergency Instructions
What is an Emergency? Cases where the applicant is a victim of domestic violence or faces imminent and permanent loss of property, children, or right to vital benefits which could be forestalled or temporarily delayed if legal action is not immediately taken.
