Who We Are

The mission of the NC Justice Center is to reduce, and to ultimately, eliminate poverty in North Carolina by ensuring that low-income, working poor and minority individuals and communities have the resources and services they need to move from poverty to economic security. To acheive this mission, the NC Justice Center works in collaboration with North Carolina’s disadvantaged individuals and communties employing a multi-forum advocacy model in which the Center uses four primary strategies:  1. Litigation;  2. Research & Policy Development; 3. Public Policy Advocacy; and 4. Grassroots Empowerment/Community Capacity Building.
