New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG): Evelyn Frank Legal Resources Program

Who We Are

The Evelyn Frank Legal Resources Program (EFLRP) is a small legal program within the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG).  EFLRP has five full-time attorneys and three paralegals.  For the general public, EFLRP maintains an informational website, click here to open NY Health Access.

We also operate a hotline for advice and information about access to Medicaid eligibility, Medicaid home care, long-term care, and prescription drug benefits. The hotline provides limited direct legal services in health care- and home care access to New York City residents.

EFLRP conducts professional Continuing Legal Education programs to teach advocacy techniques to legal and social services professionals in these areas.

How to Get Help

At this time we are offering remote services. To get help, please call (212) 613-7310 during our intake hours Monday and Wednesday from 10am-2pm. You can also email requests for advice and information, but NOT for direct representation, to eflrp@nylag.org.

You are also encouraged to contact our NY COVID-19 Legal Resource Hotline Mon-Fri from 10am-1pm via (929) 356-9582, which can offer advice concerning public benefits. When leaving a message, please leave your name, the best number to call you back, and a description of your issue. We will call you back within two business days.
