Who We Are

The Employment Law Project at The New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) provides free legal advice and representation for cases related to discrimination, wage and hour, and Family and Medical Leave Act.

We have two office locations.

How to Get Help

At this time we are offering remote services. We are available via (212) 613-5000, ext. 2, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9am-3pm. Have any papers relating to the case on hand when you call.

You are also encouraged to contact our NY COVID-19 Legal Resource Hotline Mon-Fri from 10am-1pm via (929) 356-9582, which can offer advice for employees’ rights issues, including: paid leave, FMLA, and working conditions. When leaving a message, please leave your name, the best number to call you back, and a description of your issue. We will call you back within two business days.

Income Guidelines

NYLAG provides consultation to all callers. NYLAG accepts matters on a case-by-case basis using many factors, including financial status.
