Who We Are

Neighborhood Legal Services provides free civil legal services to low income individuals and families who are unable to afford a private attorney. Depending on the particular civil legal problems, they may provide direct representation, advice, assistance in self-representation, brief service/limited legal assistance or referral to a private attorney (including free and reduced-fee). They also provide community education on legal topics.

Information
Requests for services may also be made by walking into any of our offices located in Pittsburgh, Bridgewater, or New Castle. There is no physical office in Butler County, but services can be requested by walking into any office. Walk-ins are welcome between 9:00AM-3:00PM in all offices (Bridgewater and New Castle close for lunch from 12:00PM-1:00PM). Those with emergencies or who lack telephone access will have a case opened immediately. Those without an immediate emergency will be asked to use the telephone or online web/mobile application.
