Who We Are

The Long Island Advocacy Center, Inc., (LIAC), is a private, not-for profit agency, incorporated in 1981 as a 501©3.  We have a reputation for successfully protecting the legal rights of students. Our staff of highly trained advocates, paralegals and attorneys effectively obtains appropriate educational services and supports for students attending Public School. This is accomplished through mediations, negotiations and representation at school meetings and hearings.

Income Guidelines

Fees differ depending on the action we take on the case and on your income level.

For families who fall outside of our funding mandates, there is a sliding scale fee for service. Please call for fees.

Your family’s income should be at or below the following percentage of the federal poverty level
