Who We Are

Legal Services of the Hudson Valley is dedicated to working with qualifying low-income individuals and families who otherwise would have nowhere else to turn for help. We determine who is financially eligible to receive our assistance by using federal guidelines and specific eligibility criteria determined by grants.

We are offering remote services through our central intake line at (877) 574-8529 or by calling one of our offices directly. In particular, but not limited to the following areas:

Description of Services
We provide assistance in basic life necessities matters including: housing, foreclosure, domestic violence, public benefits, disability, and consumer. Additionally, we have several specialized units for veterans, victims of domestic violence, LGBTQ, AIDS/HIV, elder, children’s and ICAN.
Emergency Instructions
If you are having an emergency, walk-in to any of our offices. Call 1-877-574-8529 and use the message system to get office locations.

What is an emergency?
An emergency may be a 72-hour notice of eviction from a marshal or sheriff, homelessness, no food in the household, or utility shut off.

► By calling our intake number, 1-877-574-8529 , you will be directed to the appropriate office for your legal problem after an intake has been completed. Our intake number is open Monday – Friday.

► To reach our Child Support Hotline, call 1-844-949-1305 on Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30pm – 4:30pm. If you are in Rockland County you can call, Monday 1:30-4:30.
