The Butte Regional Office provides free legal services to low income individuals and families in the areas of:
Public Benefits – legal advice and assistance to applicants or recipients of food stamps, CalWorks, IHSS and General Assistance, regarding eligibility issues, overpayments and sanctions, and
Housing – legal advice and assistance to tenants who have questions about their rights as a renter. Topics include mobile homes, subsidized housing, habitability problems and evictions.
To obtain our services, you must be income eligible. Seniors (60+) are exempt from this requirement. No fees for services.
