Who We Are

Bronx Legal Services, with three Bronx offices, provides legal services to the poor in diverse areas of civil practice. We provide advice, brief services, clinics, phone hotlines and full representation in court and at hearings. We provide legal services in the areas of disability, SSD/SSI, housing, public assistance, SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid, education, family law, domestic violence, health, consumer, employment/unemployment, bankruptcy, student loans and other civil litigation. We also provide legal services in the areas of elder law, tax, foreclosure, veteran’s rights, and immigration.

Income Guidelines

This program can accept individuals with incomes up to 200% of the poverty level if the person has special circumstances such as high medical bills, child care expenses, or other debts.
