Who We Are

Bedford-Stuyvesant Community Legal Services is a free civil legal services organization that provides representation to the residents of Central Brooklyn in the areas of Social Security Disability benefits, SSI benefits, housing, immigration, foreclosure prevention, consumer protection, low income taxpayer assistance and family law.

We are offering remote legal assistance for all of our service areas. New Yorkers who need civil legal assistance may call LSNYC’s Access Line at (917) 661-4500, Mon-Fri from 10am-4pm. Existing clients may call or email their advocates at their direct phone numbers.

Income Guidelines

This program can accept individuals with incomes up to 187.5% of the poverty level if the person is HIV positive or has special circumstances such as high medical bills, child care expenses, or other debts.
