Who We Are
It is the mission of the Legal Aid Bureau to provide quality legal representation and advice to persons in need residing in Erie County, New York. The Bureau’s Civil Legal Services Unit represents low-income individuals in a variety of civil matters that have a direct impact on their quality of life.

Income eligibility is based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Applicants with family income at or below 200% of the poverty level are eligible for possible representation, if they qualify after review of their expenses. Those with family income under 125% of the Federal poverty level are income eligible without expense considerations.
