Who We Are

Lawyers For Children (LFC) is a not-for-profit legal corporation dedicated to providing individual advocacy for children in foster care in New York City, and to promoting reform of New York’s foster care system. LFC offers legal representation and social work services to children in foster care, abuse, neglect, termination of parental rights, custody and adoption proceedings. This past year, we represented children and young adults in over 6,000 proceedings in New York City Family Court.

En Español: Abogados Para Niños (LFC) es una organización legal sin fines de lucro, dedicada a proveer la defensa de los niños en cuidado de crianza temporal en la ciudad de Nueva York, y promover la reforma del sistema de cuidado de crianza temporal en Nueva York. LFC ofrece representación legal y servicios de trabajo social a los niños en cuidado de crianza temporal, el abuso, el abandono, la terminación de patria potestad, custodia y adopción.
