Hawaii Civil Rights Commission
Who We Are
The mission of the Civil Rights Commission is to eliminate discrimination by protecting civil rights and promoting diversity through enforcement of anti-discrimination laws and education. HCRC has enforced state laws prohibiting discrimination in employment, housing, public accommodations, and access to state and state-funded services. The HCRC receives, investigates, conciliates, and adjudicates complaints of discrimination.
How to Get Help
Call or visit the office M-F 7:45am – 4:30pm to receive and complete a Pre-Complaint Questionnaire for your discrimination case. This is the first step in filing a discrimination complaint with HCRC. You will be contacted for an intake interview and, where appropriate, provided assistance in filing a formal complaint for your issue.
