Who We Are
The New York State Court system has established the Volunteer Attorney Program as a free service designed to ensure that people have access to competent legal advice to guide them as they represent themselves. Under the supervision of court staff, volunteer attorneys spend full days or parts of days in a courthouse, and are available to provide legal advice on support, paternity, custody, visitation, family offense and guardianship matters to unrepresented litigants in Family Court.
