Who We Are

Eastside Legal Assistance Program provides legal services for low income residents of East and Northeast King County and for survivors of domestic violence throughout the County. Services include legal advice clinics, a wills program, and in some cases, brief or extensive legal services with a pro bono attorney or an ELAP DV Staff Attorney. Full representation for cases, primarily those with domestic violence, is based on the availability of volunteer pro bono attorneys.

Description of Services
ELAP generally provides legal services through advice clinics which are held at various locations on the Eastside. Additional brief services may be provided by pro bono attorneys or ELAP’s DV staff attorney upon a recommendation from a clinic attorney. ELAP’s DV Staff Attorney provides assistance with Domestic Violence Protection Orders, Temporary Orders and parenting plans in dissolution cases where domestic violence is present. Pro bono attorneys prepare Simple Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney, and Physician’s Directives.
Emergency Instructions
Survivors of domestic violence who are referred by Eastside Domestic Violence Program receive priority at the Family Law/DV clinics.
