Who We Are
The Office of Anti-Discrimination enforces laws against employment discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age (40 or older), marital status or genetic information. The laws enforced by the Office of Anti-Discrimination protect you against employment discrimination when it involves:
- Unfair treatment because of your race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age (40 or older), marital status or genetic information.
- Harassment by managers, co-workers, or others in your workplace, because of your race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age (40 or older), marital status or genetic information.
- Denial of a reasonable workplace change that you need because of your religious beliefs or disability.
- Retaliation because you complained about job discrimination, or assisted with a job discrimination investigation or lawsuit.

- Who Can File a Charge of Discrimination?
Any individual who believes that his or her employment rights have been violated under the Delaware Discrimination in Employment Act or the Handicapped Persons Employment Protections Act may file a charge of discrimination with DDOL.
How is a Charge of Discrimination filed?
A charge may be filed in person at the DDOL office in Dover or Wilmington.
You may start the process by downloading and completing Discrimination Intake Form. You can access the questionnaire and learn about how to submit it on the DDOL’s website:

Individuals who need an accommodation in order to file a charge (e.g., sign language interpreter, print materials in an accessible format) should inform the DDOL office in advance so appropriate arrangements can be made.
