About the Dallas Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service

The Dallas Bar Association Lawyer Referral service can refer you to a Dallas area attorney (includes Collin County). For a $20 fee, the attorney will meet with you for 30 minutes to discuss your legal matter. If you and the attorney decide to work together after the initial consultation, you and the attorney can negotiate a fee agreement.

Attorneys Referred by the Lawyer Referral Service Are:

• Screened prior to being listed with their service.
• American Bar Association Certified
• Required to carry liability insurance

Limited Scope Representation

Limited scope representation is a way for a person to be able to afford legal help by limiting the amount of work an attorney does for them. This is also known as ”unbundled services.” In a limited scope arrangement, the attorney and client agree that the attorney will only do a certain list of things for the client.
