Who We Are
The Anti-Harassment Project provides information, advice, referrals and representation to people affected under the civil New York City discriminatory harassment law.
Discriminatory harassment is threats, intimidation, harassment, coercion or violence that:
- interferes with a person’s civil or constitutional rights; and
- is motivated in part by that person’s actual or perceived race, creed, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or alienage or citizenship status or other protected status.
We are unable to provide advice on criminal hate crimes.
How to Get Help
At this time we are offering remote services. Please call (212) 382-4764 during our regular business hours, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, for intake.
Who We Serve
- Area(s): Bronx County, Kings (Brooklyn) County, New York (Manhattan) County, Queens County, Richmond (Staten Island) County
- Circumstances and languages in which interpreters are provided
- Can provide interpreters for any language using the AT&T language line.
- Income Guidelines
- We will consider exceptions to these income guidelines on a case-by-case basis.
- Your family’s income should be at or below the following percentage of the federal poverty level
- 200
- Is this organization accessible by wheelchair?: YES
