Children’s Immigration Law Academy

About Us:

The Children’s Immigration Law Academy (CILA) is a project of the American Bar Association’s Commission on Immigration. CILA is a legal resource center that supports attorneys working on children’s immigration cases throughout Texas. CILA provides individualized technical assistance and training to attorneys that represent children in immigration proceedings. CILA also seeks to foster collaboration among these attorneys.

What We Do:

CILA accepts technical assistance requests from attorneys by phone, email, or online. CILA hosts regular live and webinar trainings for attorneys and legal staff. A calendar of events can be found on the CILA website. CILA hosts regular working group calls on Special Immigrant Juvenile Status and UC asylum. Attorneys and legal staff can be added to our listserv by sending sending an email to cila@abacila.org. CILA provides access to recorded live trainings, recorded webinar trainings, and online resources through the website.
