Who We Are

The Brooklyn Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project offers free legal assistance to financially eligible low-income residents of Brooklyn.

The program provides assistance with family law matters such as custody and child support, uncontested divorces, wills, health care proxies, 17A Guardianship, foreclosure prevention, consumer debt defense and Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

The program also provides representation for the day to homeowners in Department of Buildings matters before the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (OATH) in Brooklyn.
