How we can help
At Brighter Tomorrows our primary goal is to provide emergency safe shelter where survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault can begin healing. Our services are provided free of charge and confidential regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or age to both shelter residents and non-shelter residents. All Services are offered in English and Spanish.
24 Hour Crisis Hotline
24-hour hotline and crisis intervention is available 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Assistance Provided
Brighter Tomorrows staff can assist survivors with:
- Obtaining permenant safe housing,
- Legal aid,
- Child care,
- Clothing,
- Enrolling children in school,
- Obtaining school supplies,
- Job readiness,
- Budgeting, and
- Life skills.
Case Management Services
Case management at the emergency safe shelters, the Resource and Counseling Center and Transitional Housing Program services are provided during regular business hours; Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm.
Emergency Safe Shelters
Brighter Tomorrows staffs 2 emergency safe shelters in Grand Prairie and Irving at undisclosed locations. Both locations are gated and equipped with security cameras. Our emergency safe shelters can house up to a total of 72 residents (women, children, and men). Clients and their children receive meals, clothing, crisis counseling, advocacy and safety planning assistance.
Clients have access to individual counseling, support groups, community education, and referrals (i.e. housing, employment, child care, training, governmental resources, etc.)
Case Management services are provided via face-to face daily meetings and may include accompaniment to hospitals, law enforcement offices, prosecutor’s offices and courts.
Resource and Counseling Services
Counseling services and crisis intervention services are available to shelter and non-shelter clients.
Counselors are available Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm. NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY, during regular business hours.
Evening counseling services are available by appointment only.
The Brighter Tomorrows counseling team provides adult/child individual counseling, group counseling, parenting skills classes, and CPS classes for anyone with an open CPS case. Click here for more information on the resource and counseling services provided.
Sexual Assault Services
Crisis intervention services for Sexual Assault are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via the 24-hour crisis hotline 972-262-8383.
No appointment is necessary for walk-in, face-to-face crisis intervention and advocacy during regular business hours.

Transitional Housing
The purpose of the program is to provide a safe apartment for clients. While in the program, clients receive life skills training, counseling (as required) and may be eligible for additional training resources. Upon employment, the client is encouraged to establish a savings account that will help them achieve independence upon graduation.
Program stay is up to 24 months. During that time clients rent and utilities are paid by the agency. Click here for more information on how to apply for transitional housing.
