Services Provided
We assist veterans and their spouses with many civil legal issues including:
- Family Law matters
- Divorce
- Custody
- Consumer Debt and Bankruptcy issues
- Real Property matters involving Foreclosures
- Traffic tickets
- Landlord-tenant disputes.
At our monthly clinics, both student and attorney volunteers participate to provide advice, counsel, and legal analysis for veterans and their spouses. Those cases that require further representation are referred to volunteer attorneys on a pro bono basis. Additionally, some cases are handled internally by Baylor Law students under attorney supervision.
Eligibility Guidelines
Applicants for our services must qualify under the income guidelines provided by the Texas Access to Justice Foundation, which is 200% of the federal poverty line and below. We provide legal advice and services to veterans and their spouses in McLennan County and its surrounding counties: Bell, Bosque, Coryell, Falls, Hill, and Limestone.
What if I have an emergency?
If you have an emergency involving domestic violence, please contact as soon as you are able to do so safely.
Make sure to let the intake worker know about any urgent deadlines. All conversations are confidential.
