Who We Are

The Public Defender Agency provides constitutionally mandated legal representation to indigent clients.  The court appoints the Public Defender Agency to clients who are below certain financial limits and who are entitled to representation.

The Criminal Division represents individuals charged with Felony and Misdemeanor offenses from arraignment through trial and sentencing, as well as Felony and Misdemeanor Petitions to Revoke Probation.

The Public Defender Agency also assists parents and custodians involved in the child welfare system, and provides, juvenile defense and mental health advocacy for clients. The court appoints the Public Defender Agency to clients who are below certain financial limits and who are entitled to representation.
