Who We Are
The Rural Law Center of New York, Inc. is a not-for-profit legal assistance program committed to focusing attention through the legal system on the needs of low-income rural New Yorkers. Within its mission, the Rural Law Center is dedicated to:
- Providing direct legal services for systemic issues in New York’s 44 rural counties.
- Increasing access to justice for youth and seniors.
- Promoting attorney pro bono services in rural regions.
- Undertaking educational programs for individuals and service providers.
- Offering accredited trainings for rural attorneys.
- Acting as a facilitator in rural coalition building. Working on policy-based advocacy to influence rural impact legislation.
