Description
Mobilization for Justice, Inc. – Adult Home Advocacy Project
Who We Are
The mission of Mobilization for Justice (formerly MFY Legal Services) is to achieve social justice, prioritizing the needs of people who are low-income, disenfranchised or have disabilities.
The Adult Home Advocacy Project (AHAP) of Mobilization for Justice represents residents of adult homes with mental illness in all five boroughs of New York City.
The AHAP staff conducts outreach and education at the homes with a view to correcting poor physical conditions, ensuring residents’ rights to their limited funds and enforcing residents’ personal rights.
The AHAP pursues individual and affirmative litigation on issues that impact adult home residents.
At this time we are offering remote services via an updated phone intake line, email, online intake portals, and social media.
